OUR EDUCATION
The foundation of all human action is human thought. Our thought process forms the foundation on which we build every facet of our lives. Therefore, it is important for each of us to understand how our mind works and how we got the habits and attitudes and beliefs that stand in the way of releasing our vast inner potential and leading fulfilling and purposeful lives. Our beliefs and expectations about ourselves, our families and our communities – indeed our world – are a direct result of the way we think.
The guiding principle of The Indigenous Institute is that individuals have a virtually unlimited capacity for growth, change and hopefulness. People can overcome circumstances that have tampered their potential in their past and present lives, making it possible to envision a better future by Rekindling Hope in themselves and in their communities.
The pathway forward in our journey to enhance the potential within Indigenous Nations begins with our evidence-based educational programs. These programs are a step-by-step development of wisdom; they are a cognitive psychological development curriculum that is consistent with the values and traditions of Indigenous Peoples and their communities.
Our programs are purposefully designed to build an understanding of how the mind works and how you can control the way you think to achieve fulfillment in any part of your life that you desire.
Our programs provide revealing and productive insights into how you think and how your thoughts affect how you act. The tools and techniques shared, through culturally relevant stories and examples, can be applied immediately to help Indigenous People enhance and more fully utilize their Creator-given potential.
Our programs are grounded in the latest research coming out of the fields of cognitive psychology and social learning theory. Research shows that our education produces statistically significant gains in thought patterns that increase Hope, Esteem, and Consideration of Future Consequences.
Participants on average are experiencing:
-
Over a 16% increase in HOPE
-
Over a 15% increase in ESTEEM
